The American Liver Foundation (ALF) announced John T. Kontor, MD, has been elected to the Board of Directors.
In making the announcement Donna Cryer, Chair of the American Liver Foundation said, “These are exciting times for the Foundation as we work together to advance our mission. To ensure our success for the benefit of people with liver disease, we continue to engage the best and brightest volunteers and staff leadership available. We are delighted to welcome Dr. Kontor to our team.”
Dr. Kontor is a partner in Clinovations, a health management consulting firm with a focus on Health IT solutions. Prior to his current position, Dr. Kontor was the vice president and chief medical informatics officer of Bon Secours Health Systems. Dr. Kontor has extensive medical experience in clinical settings including a group practice at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, chief medical officer at Bon Secours Venice Hospital and medical director of Bon Secours Primary Care Network.
Dr. Kontor received his medical degree from Shands Hospital at the University of Florida.
