Douglas T. Dieterich, MD

Douglas T. Dieterich, M.D.
Dr. Dieterich is currently Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hepatology and also Director of Continuing Medical Education in the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY. He has a triple appointment in the divisions of Liver Disease, Gastroenterology, and Infectious Diseases.

Douglas T. Dieterich graduated from Yale University in New Haven, CT and received his Doctorate of Medicine from New York University of Medicine in NY. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Bellevue Hospital Center in New York, NY where he was also a fellow in the Division of Gastroenterology. He became Clinical Assistant Professor of medicine and then a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, both at the New York University.

Dr. Dieterich is an investigator for several ongoing studies evaluating the safety and efficacy of various antiviral treatment regimens for chronic hepatitis B & C.
