Hear from a patient, nurse practitioner, and doctors about lifestyle choices that support a healthy liver and how to live well with liver disease. Get national and local perspectives on the latest viral hepatitis treatment and side effect management, fatty liver disease, and liver transplantation.

The Hawaii Medical Center East designates this educational activity for a maximum of 3.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit (TM). Whether you’re a general practitioner, specialist or healthcare professional involved with the care of those with liver disease, you’ll learn the latest developments in viral hepatitis epidemiology, transmission, screening and immunization to assist you in your clinical practice. You’ll also receive updates on the effective management of chronic hepatitis B, including the diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer, and receive information on the latest research findings and treatment options for the effective management of chronic hepatitis C.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Robert Gish, medical director of California Pacific Medical Center’s Liver Transplant Program in San Francisco, who is also affiliated with the medical center’s Liver and GI Research Center team. Dr. Gish is an associate clinical professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and the University of Nevada, in both Reno and Las Vegas. He is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
