The annual Stump the Professor will be held at Shanghai Lil’s at 6:00 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2008 for any medical professional who is interested in benefiting from Dr. Kamath's extraordinary knowledge base.
Dr. Kamath is a Professor of Medicine and holds an endowed teaching Chair at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester Minnesota. He is a world-renowned hepatologist who is credited with inventing the MELD Score which is currently our Gold Standard for predicting mortality as we list patients for orthotopic liver transplantation. We will be presenting cases to Dr. Kamath and, in addition, will have Dr Romil Saxena who will be providing review of liver biopsy slides . The theme will be “Liver Tumors and Cases of Mesenteric Thrombosis” though any interesting teaching case is welcome.
We hope you can join us for an evening of good food and see if you can "stump the professor" with any of your difficult medical cases. Please RSVP to the Indiana Chapter at 317-635-5075 by October 17, 2008.
