Flavors of Memphis 2010 - Online Auction

Formerly known as the Salute to Excellence Gala, Flavors of Memphis is an annual fundraising event that will bring approximately 20 of the area’s top chefs together for an evening of epicurean excellence to raise funds for liver disease awareness, education, and research.

Although this is the inaugural year for Flavors of Memphis, Flavors Culinary Galas are quickly becoming the most talked about culinary events in over 30 cities across the country.

On Sunday, May 23, 2010, each chef offers their signature cuisine to a limited number of guests in an intimate and exclusive setting. The chef prepares a five-course dinner of their own creation, with complimentary wines for a table of 10 guests. The big surprise is that the guest does not know which chef will be preparing their meal until the night of the event. Each chef designs their table settings to reflect their cuisine and personal flair using their own china, silver, crystal, and centerpiece.

The gala features an opening cocktail reception, hors d’oeuvres samplings, a silent auction and live auction items preview. Patrons love hearing about the food and wine first hand from the chef. And with each table having a different chef, menu and décor, it truly is an interesting culinary evening.

In attendance are community partners, physicians specializing in liver disease, transplant specialists, patients, and families, all dedicated to raising the profile of liver disease in the community and finding a cure.

All proceeds benefit the American Liver Foundation, Mid South Division. The American Liver Foundation is a 501(c)(3) national voluntary health organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and cure of liver diseases through research, education, and advocacy.
