Sister Sledge

It's time to get down and get funky with the American Liver Foundation, June 21, 2013 at Ameristar Casino Resort & Spa, St. Charles for the 6th Annual Boogie Ball. This year Sister Sledge will be performing and keeping us dancing all night long, as they perform their hits, We are Family, He's the Greatest Dancer, Frankie and many more.

Honorary Chair, Tom Voss, President and CEO of Ameren UE, will present the 2013 leadership award along with a surprise announcement of 2013 Volunteer of the Year award.

Dan Grey, KPLR-11, news anchor and Victoria Babu, KTRS, news director are serving as our Master of Ceremony and will be judging our Disco Dress Contest. So dress the part (70's disco attire is entirely optional) and you could walk away with the grand prize for best attire. You have got to check out one of best entertainment fundraiser's in the mid west. Dave Schumacher, KTRS and Schumacher Auctions, Inc. will be auctioneer for the evening. You won't want to miss this exciting fundraiser. RC eMCee's will spin some of the best 70's mix after the performance so you can continue to dance the night away.

Since conception, our annual fundraising event has grown significantly in many ways. Among the highlights:

Gross revenues have increased from $71,000 to $390,000

The number of participants has grown from 150 to 650

The number of sponsors has nearly quadrupled, from 13 to 51

In addition, ALF always recognizes local leaders at this event who have contributed to the organization and its success. Past honorees include Tom Voss, Michael F. Neidorff, former U.S. Ambassador George Herbert Walker III, Dr. William A. Peck, Dr. James Kimmey, former U.S. Ambassador Sam Fox, Dr. William Danforth, E. Desmond Lee, Lee Liberman, Dr. Ron Evens and Marshall Faulk.

Supporting this event will help ensure that the American Liver Foundation’s mission continues to flourish in our community for the next 10 years.
