Did you know the liver's ability to regenerate allows us to perform live liver transplants? This means when part of a liver is taken from a live liver donor for transplantation, the portion that remains in the donor can regenerate to its original size. The portion transplanted into the recipient will regenerate to a size that fits the recipient's body*.

Join us in our office on Thursday, May 25 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. to hear Eric Richman, LICSW, discuss Live Donor Transplantation. He will be joined by a patient and donor who have undergone the live liver transplantation process.

Eric Richman, LICSW holds a master's degree in social work from Boston University. He specializes in liver disease and facilitates a support group Lahey Hospital and Medical Center for those affected by liver disease.

If you are interested in attending this lecture, please RSVP to Lindsay Ventura via phone (617) 527-5600 or e-mail lventura@liverfoundation.org
