Did you know the liver's ability to regenerate allows us to perform live liver transplants? This means when part of a liver is taken from a live liver donor for transplantation, the portion that remains in the donor can regenerate to its original size. The portion transplanted into the recipient will regenerate to a size that fits the recipient's body*.

Join us in our office on Thursday, May 25 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. to hear Fredric Gordon, MD, discuss Live Donor Transplantation. He will be joined by a patient and donor who have undergone the live liver transplantation process.

Dr. Gordon is the Medical Directory of Liver Transplantation and Hepatology at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. He attended medical school at Boston University School of Medicine. He specializes in cirrhosis, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, liver transplantation, and portal hypertension. He has been at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center for the last 17 years.

If you are interested in attending this lecture, please RSVP to Lindsay Ventura via phone (617) 527-5600 or e-mail

Food and beverage will be provided
