Flavors of Boston 2012 Was An Unforgettable Experience

>Flavors of Boston, a culinary experience and fundraiser hosted by the American Liver Foundation New England Division raised over $121,000.

On Friday, September 28th, 2012, over 200 guests joined the American Liver Foundation, Chef David Becker of Sweet Basil, and our emcees Matt Noyes and Danielle Niles from New England Cable News at the State Street Pavilion overlooking Fenway Park to celebrate Dr. Douglas Horst of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and raise funds for the American Liver Foundation.

The program for the evening included an award presentation to Dr. Douglas Horst for his dedication to the American Liver Foundation; a silent auction; a Fund-A-Grant program to provide guests an opportunity to directly support the mission; and the premiere of "A Tribute To Those Who Raise Us Up." "A Tribute To Those Who Raise Us Up" is a documentary conceived, filmed and produced by the American Liver Foundation New England Division and Nabil Aidoud of fiVi.com and was created to honor doctors and medical teams who help those individuals currently living with liver disease.

The evening was a success, raising over $121,000 for the cause. Photos of the event are on the ALF New England Facebook page. Planning is underway for the Flavors of Boston 2014 event.
