The northern California chapter works to raise money through special fundraising events, private contributions and foundations which support the promotion of liver wellness education and information for patients, the public and medical providers and to additionally support our national research agenda. Climb for Research 2008

June 7th, 2008

Mount Shasta, June 7-8, 2008. The Climb For Research program has raised more than $375,000 since its inception through six organized climb expeditions to Mt. Shasta and one to Mt. Rainier. Many of our climbers have used their good health to help someone else. All of our climbers have a commitment and a passion for promoting liver wellness and raising awareness for organ donation. Applications to the 2008 Climb For Research Team are now closed.

Run For Research Marathon

August 3rd, 2008

San Francisco, August 3, 2008. Join us for our inaugural Run For Research Marathon Team comprised of runners with a commitment and a passion for promoting liver wellness and raising awareness for organ donation. Introducing Dr. Catherine Frenette of CPMC as our RFR Team Wellness Coach. Applications to the RFR Marathon Team are open through Friday, May 30.

Liver LIFE Walk-LOS GATOS

September 27th, 2008

The Liver LIFE Walk is a 3-mile pledged fundraising walk event that promotes liver wellness and organ donation while raising funds for critically needed liver disease research and education.
