Liver Life Walks- Huge Success!!! Thank you for helping us Raise Funds for the 30 Million Americans Affected by Liver Disease!

The Portland, OR Liver Life Walk on September 13th and the Seattle, WA Liver Life Walk on September 20th enjoyed sunshine and awesome registration numbers for our first annual Liver Life Walks. Collectively, the two events brought together 51 teams, 398 participants, 22 volunteers and raised just over $45,000 to facilitate, advocate and promote education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease.

Our honorees were there every step of the way to remind us why prevention, disease management and research are vital today and in the future. Honorees included Carl Weinberger from Portland, who used to have Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, a disease that ultimately leads to liver failure and Mario Araujo of Seattle, a 2 year old, who at 2 months was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a disease that destroys the liver. Both Carl and Mario are liver transplant survivors and we are grateful for their dedication in helping us bring awareness to the general public and the medical community regarding the rising incidence of liver disease.
