Flavors of Seattle 2008 - A Great Success

The American Liver Foundation's 10th annual Flavors of Seattle Culinary Gala, held on March 5th 2008 at the Grand Hyatt Seattle, was a fantastic evening! We have raised over $170,000 to date.

Proceeds from the event will go toward research, education and awareness of the many liver diseases that directly affect our community and country.

We would like to give a special thank you to all the sponsors, volunteers and chefs who dedicated their time, talent and resources to help on a fabulous event! Much appreciation also goes out to our fantastic patrons who participated that evening. Thanks to their competitive bidding and generosity, the live auction items sold for more than $41,200 and we also raised $34,150 for liver disease research during Fund-a-Grant.

Auction Items

The best selling live auction item of this year's Flavors of Seattle was the Blakely Island Getaway for 2 couples donated by Chef Dan Thiessen, owner of the 0/8 Seafood Grill and Twisted Cork Wine Bar, and Charlie and Colleen Mills which sold twice for $7,500.

Another very successful live auction item was the exotic excursion to Bali sold for $6,000.

Thank you to our Sponsors

The American Liver Foundation would be unable to work towards the goal of preventing, treating and curing hepatitis and other liver diseases without the help of our dedicated sponsors.
