Liver Life Walk & Twilight 5K Denver 2012

The Liver Life Walk & Twilight 5K in Denver is a great opportunity for the American Liver Foundation to raise awareness, promote liver wellness and to raise funds for critically needed liver disease research & education.

Join us as we Raise Funds for the 30 Million Americans Affected by Liver Disease!

The Liver Life Walk & Twilight 5K is a pledged fundraising 5K run and walk event. The Twilight 5K is an officially timed event. Runner's times can be used to qualify for the BolderBOULDER Memorial Weekend. Hundreds of community members will come together to raise funds and participate in this fun 5k run and walk following the Mile High Loop in City Park. Join us in taking that extra step toward bringing the cause of liver wellness and organ donation to the forefront of the playing field.

Walkers: No registration fee. Walkers must fundraise a minimum of $100 to earn the Liver Life Walk & Twilight 5K T-Shirt. Walkers will not be timed. Walkers may not transfer donations to cover runner registration fees. Registration fees must be paid out of pocket.

Runners: $30 pre-event registration fee (through May 11, $35 May 12-May 17) to cover run timing.

Start Your Fundraising Campaign

Join us in raising funds for the Liver Life Walk & Twilight 5K! It is never too early to start raising funds for this upcoming 5k event. Following registration, you will receive your very own fundraising webpage! You can start recruiting friends, family and coworkers to join you in this important effort. It's easy to donate online; there's no need to write or send checks. Each donor automatically receives a confirmation e-mail with tax deduction information. You'll have 24-hour access to your donor information, and you can send e-mails from your donation center at any time!

Even if you cannot attend the Liver Life Walk & Twilight 5K, you can still support the American Liver Foundation with a donation. Simply visit the online donation website and click the "Donate" button. Or, call the Rocky Mountain Division at (303) 988-4388 to make a general donation.

Create a Team

It's never too soon to get started on planning for the Liver Life Walk & Twilight 5K. Make the Run/Walk even more fun and memorable by getting your friends and family together to form a team. Each team can create their own fundraising team page after registering!

Ten Ways To Form a Successful Team

  1. Mark Your Calendar. Start by marking Your Calendar for Thursday, May 17, 2012
  2. Get Team Information. Call the Division Office at (303) 988-4388.We are here to help you!
  3. Be a Team Captain. Register your Team and create your Team's online fundraising web page.
  4. Name your Team. Get your team involved in choosing a name. Run or walk in honor of a loved one or get funky and show your creative side. You’ll be sure to stand out amongst the crowd.
  5. Invite people to join you. Recruit team members by asking your friends, family, neighbors, business associates, and service or student organizations to which you belong to join your team.
  6. Check with your employer. Ask your employer or service organization’s HR Department to put you in their newsletter, post a notice or even include your team in e-mail updates. Be sure to ask about your company's Matching Gift program too!
  7. Create team spirit. Combine friendly competition along with the common goals of winning an award and helping in the fight against liver diseases to encourage team members to recruit additional members and to sign up as many pledges as they can.
  8. Set goals. Be realistic about the number of team members you hope to recruit and the team pledge goal you hope to raise. On average, each participant raises about $150. Remember, each participant that raises $100 or more will get a free Liver Life Walk & Twilight 5K t-shirt!
  9. Share your enthusiasm. Organize team activities to keep your team motivated and informed of the team’s fundraising progress and get team members excited with some personalized team t-shirts.
  10. Be creative. Recruit team members by setting up an information table at your employer or organization during lunchtime. Organize fun and clever fundraising events such as a dog wash or ask your employer for a "Pay for a Casual Dress Day".

Raise $100 or more and select one of our fabulous incentive prizes! Runners and walkers raising $100 or more by event day can claim their t-shirt at the event. All other incentives are awarded after the event.
