Educational Programs & Special Events

Educational Programs

The Pacific Coast & Hawaii Division is your local source for educational programs regarding liver disease. Programs are educational and free of charge. Current programs that are being conducted in our community are:

LIVER MATTERS: This program incorporates key strategies to keep one's liver healthy. The program also offeres specific action plans to maximize liver health, which engages and motivates the audience toward future healthy lifestyle changes. The 60-minute program is a highly effective corporate wellness program that can be held at any company, corporation or facility that is concerned with their employees' overall well-being.

VIRAL HEPATITIS - TREATMENT CHOICE INITIATIVE: This education program is targeted towards individuals who have or are at high risk of hepatitis C infection. The program educates participants about the liver, liver disease, specifically hepatitis C, treatment options and other disease management strategies.

LOVE YOUR LIVER: This program is an interactive liver wellness education program targeted to elementary, middle and high school students, as well as young adults. The program educates students about the liver and the actions they can take to maximize their liver health and prevent liver disease.

FLIP (Fatty Liver Information Program): This is a national program targeted to the general public, as well as liver disease patients. FLIP facilitates a greater understanding of the liver and its functions, discusses the development and progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and offers a multi-disciplinary approach for maximizing liver health.

Fundraising Events

Each year the Pacific Coast & Hawaii Division and hundreds of volunteers organize and execute a variety of highly successful fundraising events. These events embody the spirit and purpose of the division in many forms, from dinners and auctions to running and walking events.
