Leading the Nation

If your child is diagnosed with end-stage liver disease (which means their liver is failing), specific metabolic disorders or tumors, the recommended treatment is likely to be a liver transplant.

The pediatric liver transplant team at Texas Children’s performs more than 35 pediatric liver transplants each year and since 1988, more than 750 patients have received new livers, making it one of the most active and established liver transplant programs in the nation. Texas Children’s is proud to be designated as a Wilson’s Center of Excellence. All aspects of pre- and post-liver transplant care are provided in a state-of-the-art setting using the most advanced technology.
