PSG Annual Scientific Meeting

Gastroenterologists from around the state will gather for the Pennsylvania Society of Gastroenterology's Annual Scientific Meeting in September.

This three-event meeting will include topics ranging from diagnostic and management dilemmas in the UGI Tract to advances in endoscopy to liver disease to the changing landscape for GI practices. Attending physicians can earn up to 7.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits for Continuing Medical Education requirements. The meeting itself features a host of speakers from around the region.

The event will also include a poster contest that was open to all active adult and pediatric fellows in gastroenterology and hepatology programs as well as residents in internal medicine. Posters related in gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition will be on display.

There will also be a dinner session featuring Vince Papale, the former Philadelphia Eagles player who was the inspiration for the movie Invincible. He'll be speaking about his fight with colon cancer.

PSG, a medical specialty society with more than 300 members is committed to serving the educational needs of gastroenterologists throught Pennsylvania, improving the level of care for gastrointestinal disorders and acting as an advocate for gastroenterologists and patients regarding socioeconomic issues.
