Western PA-WV Board Member Naomi Herman named Community Champion by Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Naomi Herman's story is supporting those with liver disease.
Five years ago, Naomi Herman started the Western Pennsylvania West Virginia Chapter of the American Liver Foundation. Serving as president of the board and chair of the education committee, Naomi volunteers 15 hours a week developing educational programs, including Living Well With Liver Disease. Despite the fact that our region is referred to by some as the "Liver Capital of the World", Western PA did not have a chapter-until Naomi helped to fill the void.
Following her breast cancer diagnosis, Naomi remained extremely active in the organization, attending meetings, programs and events. Her hard work, dedication and leadership help to keep the community healthy and her efforts give support to those living with liver disease.
