Innovations in Clinical Transplantation

Innovations in Clinical Transplantation is a continuing medical education clinical and scientific symposium for healthcare and research professionals in the field of transplantation and related disciplines. Prominent national and international surgeons, physicians, and scientists will present information on the most recent advances in clinical transplantation and on promising new areas in transplantation research.

Starzl Prize in Surgery and Immunology

The Thomas E. Starzl Prize in Surgery and Immunology was established in 1996 to honor the clinical and scientific contributions of Dr. Thomas E. Starzl. Outstanding national and international leaders who have made significant contributions to the fields of organ transplantation and immunology are invited to the University of Pittsburgh to present their work and receive the prize. This year's recipient is Ronald W. Busuttil, MD, PhD, distinguished professor of surgery, UCLA. His lecture is entitled Reflections of a Starzl Student: A Progress Report Near the Three-Decade Mark.

30th Anniversary Celebration Dinner

Join Dr. Thomas E. Starzl, our founding director, special guest Jamie Lee Curtis, Abhinav Humar, MD, clinical director, Art Rooney II, president, Pittsburgh Steelers, and patients Todd McNeely and Burl Osborne, as we reunite for our 30th Anniversary Celebration. The evening will include dinner and a short program followed by dancing. We look forward to seeing you there.
