Hillel Tobias, MD, PhD, co-chair of ALF’s national medical advisory committee and a member of the national board of directors, was cited in a segment about the costs-benefits of the new hepatitis C treatment, Sovaldi. The program aired on May 22, 2014. Dr. Tobias is a clinical professor in the Department of Gastroenterology at NYU Langone Medical Center.
National Medical Advisory Committee Member, Andrew Muir, MD, MHS, an associate professor of medicine and clinical director of hepatology at Duke University Medical Center, discussed how hepatitis C is often symptomless. American Liver Foundation patient advocate Charlotte Stewart shared her experiences of living with a hepatitis C diagnosis.
