Give Thanks

Dear Friends,

At this time of Thanksgiving, we often hear people say that they are thankful for their good health. We also know that today – and every day – dozens of people will be told they have liver disease. It may be someone at your Thanksgiving dinner, or a neighbor, a friend, a co-worker, a child or even you.

Liver disease strikes one out of every ten Americans – including babies, toddlers, teenagers, adults and the elderly. No one is immune. And with many forms of liver disease, there are no early symptoms.

However, there is hope on the horizon. Just this year two new treatments for hepatitis C were approved and already thousands of lives are being saved. With continued investment in scientific discoveries, we look toward a day when other deadly forms of liver disease are also cured.

The American Liver Foundation works every day to provide information, education and support for those with liver disease and those who love them. We also fund critical research into the cause and cure of all liver diseases.

People with liver disease, their families and caregivers rely on the American Liver Foundation. This year our appeal is even more important. We need you to reach out to the 30 million Americans with liver disease by sending a special holiday gift today.

The American Liver Foundation is the ONLY voluntary organization in the nation that gives a voice to all 30 million Americans with liver disease. And thanks to friends like you, that voice is being heard.

Please send the most generous gift you can today. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Newton Guerin
President and CEO
