We welcome the kindness of others in the form of volunteerism. Are you interested in volunteering for American Liver Foundation? We are currently seeking volunteers to join us for our 2010 events.

Temporary Office Assistant

If you are interested in volunteering with a non-profit organization and gaining valuable work experience in the area of fundraising, then we have an opportunity for you.
This opportunity requires good communication and computer skills as well as phone interaction. You can come in once or twice a week with flexibility on days and hours, we are looking for committed individuals to dedicate a few weeks to this project.
Skills: Office Support, Fundraising, Marketing

Requirements: Good communication skills, reliable and dedicated individual who is detail oriented, punctual and self-motivated.

Educational Programs throughout the Southeast:

  • Fatty Liver Information Program (FLIP) *
    is an educational program targeting the general public and discusses the development and progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
  • Love Your Liver Youth Education Program *
    targets school-aged children in grades K-12 to better educate them about the functions of the liver and liver wellness.
  • Treatment Choices Initiative (TCI) *
    targets individuals who have or are at high risk of Hepatitis C infection to educate them about liver disease, specifically Hepatitis C, treatment options and other disease management strategies.
We need volunteers to help conduct these programs in the community after an initial orientation, to contact schools and community centers to set up these programs and to help with preparation of program materials.
