>The American Liver Foundation Greater New York Division serves New York State and Northeastern New Jersey. We provide a wide variety of services including support groups, liver wellness education programs, a national helpline, exciting fundraising events, and volunteer opportunities. Founded in 1997, the Division has successfully served thousands of liver disease patients and their families. Here at the Greater New York Division, we stress that a healthy liver is essential to a healthy life. Therefore, we are committed to promoting the importance of liver health while educating the community about liver disease. We are proud to have a Medical/Scientific Advisory Board comprised of a who’s who of the leading physicians and scientists specializing in liver disease in the Greater New York area.
Liver disease mirrors the New York population – it cuts across ethnic, racial, and gender lines. The Greater New York Chapter is dedicated to our diverse community. We offer a variety of services, from physician referrals to free educational literature, to educational programs.
Please visit our site often to learn about fundraising and program events that we have planned for the months and year ahead, as well as ways to get involved. The Chapter’s goal is to serve the New York State and Northern New Jersey areas, and volunteers from these areas are always needed and welcome. Our outstanding record of achievement would not be possible without people from the community, like you. If you are interested in volunteering, please call (212) 943-1059 or e-mail us at greaterny@liverfoundation.org.
