About Our Chapter

The Gulf Coast Chapter was established in 1996. The chapter provided support to the Gulf Coast of Florida for 6 years through volunteer efforts. Staff were hired in 2002. The chapter directly serves 6 counties including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, Polk and Orange. The Gulf Coast Chapter does represent the entire state of Florida and continues to increase its program activities, advocacy, fundraising efforts, and the number of people it serves.
