Volunteer With Us

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Allegheny Division of the American Liver Foundation. Our current volunteer oppurtunities are listed below and we invite you to contact us for more information! We also invite you to contact us if you have an idea about a special way that you would like to contribute to our organization that is not listed below. Thank you- we look forward to working with you in the community!

Educational Opportunities

Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of educational programs throughout our chapter's service area. Please contact the Allegheny Division for specific educational oppurtunities.

Special Events: Pittsburgh

Volunteers can participate in one of our fundraising events: Dick's Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon 2012, Liver Life Walk Pittsburgh, Tribute to Excellence, Flavors of Westmoreland and Flavors of Pittsburgh. Please visit our Events page for more information about each event!

Event Planning Committee: Committee members are needed for planning and improving our events each year. Event committees work successfully to plan all aspects of the event, including venue, pricing, timeline, auction procurement, event marketing, ticket sales, etc. Event Committees typically meet monthly starting several months prior to the event.

Day of Event Volunteers: Volunteers are needed to help set up for the event, to register guests at the door, assist with live & silent auctions and for clean-up.

Internships: Pittsburgh

Internships are available for credit only and are geared toward students seeking experience in areas of non-profit management, public relations, marketing, volunteer management, program management or event planning. Students who wish to engage in a specific project to fulfil an academic requirement should contact the Allegheny Division to design a work plan with the scope of the American Liver Foundation's mission.
